Forbidden Nation gives insights into the documents from the 20th century until now which makes out the foundation of Taiwan’s status today. Especially the chapters describing current time focus on the US relationship to Taiwan and the influence of the rising China. The book is a good introduction for everyone who wants to get wiser regarding Taiwan’s status today.
