在過去 60 年﹐台灣和中國經歷了緊張的關係。在過去 20 年來﹐台灣在中國的大量投資並沒有導致文化融合﹐而且也沒有消弱中國對台灣的索求。在過去陳總統執政的八年期間﹐台灣和中國之間的經濟一體化達到最大的發展。自2008年﹐中國國民黨從新執政以來﹐中國和台灣已經採取幾項重大措施﹐進而延續在過去 8 年來﹐陳總統執政時所看到最大經濟發展整合趨勢。在地平線上﹐我們也許會看到一個以更強大的政治力來推動的經濟發展。
